Now the family has something to celebrate and a baby whose name is a tribute to his grandfather. `we wish the Gifford family nothing but health, happiness, and love as they expand. Kathie's daughter-in-law, Erica Gifford, posted three images of her son to celebrate the milestone. In the first, Frank sits with a spoon in his hand and food smeared around a wide-open, smiling mouth. Sipping wine, writing songs, and welcoming small-town living with this television icon.
With their current set-up, Kathie is overjoyed to have her children in their respective homes and close to her. "Then it came to feel like a mortuary with me just there alone. And I said I need to make a new life for myself, or this one's gonna kill me. The loneliness was crippling. It was crippling," she added. Kathie knew that she had to make new memories before the old ones got the best of her, so she moved.

And while the house is beloved by both her and her two children, after her retirement from TODAY, Gifford told People she needed a change. Although Kathie Lee loved living in Connecticut, the home she had shared with her family had turned into a reminder of sad times. Cody and Cassidy grew up and moved out of the house, and just a few years later, in 2015, Frank Gifford passed away at the age of 84. “That huge beautiful memory-filled home was like a morgue to me,” Kathie Lee told USA Today.

She said she took great joy in her children growing up, falling in love, getting married, and then bringing their own children into the world. There was hers, her husband's, and in between those was a tiny stocking, indicating they would welcome a baby in June 2023. However, for Kathie Lee Gifford and her family, the celebrations are not around the holidays but instead focused on their family. Meanwhile, her daughter Cassidy and her family live nearby in Nashville.
Author and television personality Kathie Lee Gifford joined 'Fox & Friends' to discuss furthering the Kingdom of God during the holiday season. That change came in a newfound focus on her music career, plus writing and directing movies. But, in order to immerse herself in her artistic endeavors, she wanted to surround herself in an enclave of like-minded creatives, and that led her to Nashville, Tennessee . The tragic event left the television personality devastated, and although she had children, the void in her life could not be filled. The famous TV personality was married to Frank Gifford, who is deceased, and they shared son Cody Gifford and daughter Cassidy Gifford. After spending several years chasing a career as a Christian singer, Gifford became a household name when she joined Regis Philbin on "The Morning Show" in 1985.
Kathie previously expressed that she loved hosting her children and their spouses, her son-in-law Ben Wierda and daughter-in-law Erika Gifford, whenever they could come over. The comments section was filled with congratulatory messages for the happy couple. Over his 12-year Hall of Fame career in New York, Gifford earned eight Pro Bowl selections and a Most Valuable Player award in 1956. "They're just beautiful human beings, and to see your children happy like that -I know Frank's smiling each day ... we just sensed their dad just smiling," she said. On December 16th, Kathie's daughter, Cassidy, shared a photo on Instagram that showed the family has something extra to celebrate around the fire this Christmas. Kathie's late husband made a name for himself playing football for the New York Giants when he was young.
"And that just makes me so happy." She added that she hopes "one day the Lord might bless us with little tiny feet running around" the house where her own kids once ran around. Kathie Lee also noted that her daughter and her husband, Ben Weirda, live near her house in Nashville, so she has her children near her "in both homes." During all those years on TV, she lived in a gorgeous estate in the affluent Riverside neighborhood of Greenwich, Ct. The waterfront mansion that overlooks the NYC skyline was where she raised her family and spent many happy years with her late husband, Frank Gifford.
Believe it or not, she commuted to and from this home every day with hosting the 4th hour of TODAY! In July 2019, Kathie paid $3.7 million for a 7,965 square foot brownstone in Franklin, Tennessee – a wealthy suburb of Nashville where a ton of celebrities live. Little is know about the home, but The Tennessean did get a peek inside during their interview. In Kathie Lee’s living room, you can see she has a beautiful fireplace and admirable woodwork.
Gifford originally bought the home with her husband back in 1998 for $3.9 million. The mansion is an incredible 11,419 square foot, sits on .44 acres, and features eight bedrooms and eight bathrooms. It has a beautiful location too, as it sits right on the edge of the water and is about 1.5 hours drive from the center of Miami. She transformed one of the outdoor areas into a fully equipped bar which overlooks the beautiful water and is where she hosts many a summer party with family and friends. There is also a private dining area with a huge dining table which sits directly next to the water’s edge.
Kathie Lee once told Westchester Magazineshe and her husband were "Connecticut people" despite working in New York City. The pair named their little one Frank Michael Gifford, a tribute to Kathie’s late husband, Frank Gifford. The happy couple shared several adorable photos on Instagram to announce their son’s arrival.
